I see a lot of posts on this board that start "where can I get the flows for (insert river name here)"

This is the starting point for Nor Cal and Central Valley flows.

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/river/rivcond.html

For other states, a good starting point is:

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/rt

I know other various sources link to or report this data, but you always run a risk when you go to a secondary source. Do they update in real time? Is their link still valid? etc...

Your taxes pay for all this data collection. May as well use it.

Dreamflows.com is an awesome resource for all kinds of flow info. There are also lots of bits and pieces of flow estimates, rumors, and such. There are several pages, and note that not all stations are reported on all pages so it's worth checking out both the daily and the realtime reports.
