I bet I could find a way to break one while fishing.... I always seem to find a way to break stuff that is supposedly "unbreakable".....

There was a 5 wt shoot out and the hardy Zenith won the best over all rod, short range, long range, accuracy etc. I really want to cast that thing.

What did people think of these when they came in?

I read that shoot out too and the Zenith whooped it according to them.

Yeah, but notice nobody seems to have anything to say about these rods.
I wonder if they are just too spendy so noone has one, or if people had a different reaction than the shutout, or what?
Maybe anyone who has one is way too busy fishing it to talk about it? :)

They don't seem to be any more, if anything a bit less than comparable Sage, Loomis and definitly Winston. I believe it's a case of brand that hasn't been as exposed to the US market. I'd like to know if the 10'-8 weight is that much better than the competition?

I have this rod since mid May. The 5wt 9'. I sold my Z a couple of months ago. It just felt heavy and laboured after using the Hardy.

The 5 wt x 9' weighs 2.9 oz. The 10' x 7 AND 8 wt are each 3.5 oz. That's light!
