Orvis ZG Helios Switch Rod 11' 8wt Tip Flex 9.5 360-485 grain window. 4-piece rod in carbon fiber rod tube. Airflo VRC 10/12 Spey Reel loaded with 250 yards of yellow 30 lb backing. Rigged with 100 feet of Airflo Ridgeline running line with Beulah's 450 grain Tonic (Skagit) Line. Also includes a RIO Steelhead Scandi Line (435 gr), 3 RIO Skagit MOW tips (10'floating, 2.5'Floating/7.5 T-8, 10' T-8), and an Airflo floating Polyleader for the Scandi Line.
This is a great spey/switch rig for Nor Cal and small to medium sized river steelheading. Use the Skagit line to cast small animal-sized flies into high water with a giant wall of brush behind you or use the Scandi line for small flies and floating line work. All gear is in excellent, used condition. I used to work for Mike Kuczynski at the Eureka Fly Shop and am moving to CO so steelheading won't be on the agenda for some time. Glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy the water and fish for the legend while I could. More photos and information is available upon request. I would prefer to sell as a set.
