I'm about 3/4 the way through "Casting A Spell," by George Black. Its a history of cane rodmakers in America. He writes more about the rodmakers than their rods. If you think the business of building cane rods is "glamorous" this book will change your mind. Classic Rods and Rodmakers is also a great read.
