I had the pleasure of fishing with two old Land Park friends in the Delta this morning. We put in down south at "way to freak'n early o-clock" and went to our first stop in the dark. We started fishing top-water and intermediate stuff until first light with no grabs. We switched over to some sub surface lines and flys and hooked a few fish to 4#. The bite slowed and we were off to our next stop. 20 minutes later we arrived at our next stop very very cold and started to mark and hook fish right away. With almost no tidal movement we plugged away getting one here and one there. We kept at it and the tide started to increase and we started to get into the stripers pretty good. The fish were not big and sometimes small but were hitting our blue gill pattered clousers regularly and were feisty, good pulling fish.We had some breakfast burritos, moved to another high percentage rock wall, and got into them again. We ended up with 25 plus fish to 4# with 4 doubles, alot of laughs and a few LDRs. Had to quit fishing by 11:30 a.m. to get home and be responsable. Nice weather, good company and willing fish.
Thanks Jim and Mike.
We will do it again in Baja in September.

That's pretty good action for 1/2 day of fishing. Thanks for the report Hatch. I'm always jealous of you 'weekday' fishermen. Must be nice.

Water temp? Clarity? They still hitting aggressively?
