Over the past few years I have been fishing with some pretty serious Spey casters like Jeff Putnam, Jason Hartwick and Keith Kaneko.
While single-hand fishing with them for trout, bass and in the mangrove lagoons, I noticed they were making Spey casts with their single-hand fly rods which to me looked very advantageous.
I mentioned this to Jeff Putnam who soon after did some classes on single-hand Spey casting and then did a nice DVD on the subject that is very popular. We have them at the shop.
