Some are headed up to Eagle Lake now near Susanville, CA for their annual trip there.

It starts when it is cooling in October, with November the big month and some fish in December right up to the closure at the end of the year.

Many like to wade fish with some in float tubes and pontoon boats. Some use outboard skiffs to travel around to different places then get out and wade.

At the shop Terry Thomas is our Eagle lake expert. They have a group that go every year.

Pyramid Lake starts in November and runs all the way through May till it warms up and the Cutthroat trout go deep for the summer.

This is mostly a wading fishery with step ladders (modified) being very popular too.

I don't know if it is a good idea for float tubing or pontoon boats because the wind can come up and be dangerous?

Some conventional anglers use big power boats though.
