Like the title says I wanted some new waist high waders during one of the years when Simms didn't make them. I took the Convertibles and cut the top half of the waders off making them into pants. I didn't cut through any seams and never punctured any surface below the belt. I think they are a straight size Large. That part is a little confusing though. Since they where made as a convertible they assumed for a little bulk when they where rolled down. waist is pretty big. Folded in 1/2 it's 24" across. I am a 36" waist and I wear them fine, lil big but they have a built in belt. My normal waders are a straight large. These pants are in perfect condition, I only wore them a couple times in the boat.
