Heenan closer reports?

Anyone have an end of season report from Heenan?

I had hoped to get up there to fish on the final Friday and Saturday of the year. Unfavorable weather predictions early in the week had me a little skittish about conditions for Friday but ultimately an intractable problem at work sealed my fate and I couldn't make it. A few other long ignored projects around the house scuttled any thoughts of a bonsai run up there Saturday or Sunday.

So, if you went up there lately please let me know how it was!

A few weeks back my buddy landed a 33 1/2 cutt. One of the biggest fish I have heard from there lately.

If you can go up there a lot then just go anytime but if you are going up once a year I would go in October rather than in September.

We had some good reports the past few weekends.

...of course if you go to Heenan in September, you're liable to be run out by the not-so-happy-to-see-you ranger! ;)

My buddy fished it on Sunday. He was surprised to see only a few people on the lake. He caught 9 fish. 3 of them were 23 inches. The rest were 18-20. All on black wooly bugger.
