In talking with Mike McCune he said that it is best to not have anything on the front of you while casting two-handed rods because it keeps you from having your arms in close.

I guess that stuff just gets in the way?

I guess that means no chest packs or vests with big fly boxes out front or beer bellies?

i like to wear a simms dry pack on my back. Its big enough to hold everything I might need for the day and is waterproof; comes in different sizes too.
