Look at the percent hatchery vs non-hatchery fish at the Willow Creek weir, especially coho. Very few wild coho, and a surprisingly high percentage of hatchery steelhead considering all the tributaries to the Trinity.

I understand that the WC weir was pulled ahead of Sunday's deluge - any chance it will be put back, or is that it for the season?

I've been following the Willow ck. weir counts since 2006 and this year has the largest ratio of wild steelhead yet. right now it is about 44% wild fish, the big run of 2007 had less than 14% wild fish as a comparison. Even though the total numbers are down this season, I see these numbers as a big improvement over years past.

That is a great number! Let's hope it holds over the season.
