Fished in a kayak tourney on Sun.
Not too many stripers.
CP&R'd this nice Redear (thx HS) - too big to send down on the baitcaster...LOL
Rain at Tiki Lagun didn't produce the topwater action I dreamed about, but wtf, we need as much water as we can get!
Gotta remember to at least put on my crappy rain gear!

I've been hitting the little road side pond by my house after work and it has been nice for bass and gills. Nothing funner than catching gills on top and in real shallow water. I love seeing that little wake coming at my fly real fast.

Thanks for the correct ID.

I've been catching those for years and always wondered why they were called bluegill when they seemed to have a red edge to that dark patch on the gills.

Guess I really need to get a good book or web site that has a comprehensive well illustrated, captioned ID system!

Anyone know of an online resource for Delta species that includes even "non-glamorous" fish?
