I just got this email report from one of my fishing buddies:

Hey Bill I just got back from the Somes Bar area of the Klamath. I stayed with Doug Cole and family, at the Marble Mountain guest ranch. We fly fished for two days with his guide service. Their speciality is to catch Steelhead on the swing . I have fished with quite a few guides and I highly recommend the service that Doug and his son Peter, provide !!!!! Their knowledge of the river and their ability to keep your flies in the strike zone, really increase your chances of catching Klamath steel. The accommodations and food at the ranch were both first rate. These guys work very hard to target every piece of holding water on the river. I would rate the fishing on our trip as just fair, with an average of 7 mixed half pounders and adults per day per angler. From other reports it seemed that the fishing was kind of spotty with one day good and another kind of slow. The trip was a great success, because scenic beauty ,of that area of the river, is worth the price of admission!!!!!
