hey guys,

as i find myself getting more addicted to spey, im getting the itch to tie classic-ish patterns and was wondering if theres anyone out there who wouldnt mind sittin down for an evening and tying some flies.

Have you checked out Marty's tutorials on Speypages? His methods are very easy to learn and he does a great step by step tutorial.

The biggest key for tying classics (or any fly for that matter) is good basic techniques that are repeated in every pattern. For example, tying in tip, tag, tail sequence or setting a hackle wing.
