I bought this pair of size 12 Simms G4 Guide Boots last year and have only used them one time on a river (on the Yuba at a Spey fishing clinic), and one time in my float tube. The soles are not worn at all, and the star cleats have never been used at all. I am a stillwater guy, not a stream / river guy, so I really don't need a set of boots as fine as these, plus I am unemployed so I need the money instead.

Re: sizing. I wear size 10 1/2 or 11 street shoes and boots. Stocking foot waders bump you up one size, so these size 12s fit me perfectly. They are super comfy, lined with thick cushioning neoprene, and they have the trick Vibram soles. From what I have read when you install the cleats (all you need is a philips screwdriver, the holes are already provided in the Vibram soles), these will work almost as securely as studded felt on slippery rocks and far, far better on muddy or snowy / icy riverbanks.

The boots retail for $220 and the set of star cleats for $40, $260 total new. You can buy this set from me for $150 and you'll be getting basically new stuff. I even have the box, hang tags, and receipt from Leland.

You can pick them up in San Francisco or I can ship them to you, (you pay shipping cost) and I can take PayPal.
