Lower Trinity

Has anyone heard any updates on the lower end of the Trinity for swinging flies? Or even updates on the whole system.

I heard of some fish being spotted on the T but not much moving for a fly. This warm weather probably won't help much either.

Long range models are showing a lot of cold air amassing in the arctic and once it pushes through it should bring some rain and game on. Right now forecast for the first week of October.

Had a friend just back from the Lower Trinity River and the Klamath River.

Trinity slow, Klamath very good for Half-pounders.

Lower Trinity is very warm yet, high 60's low 70's, some fish (few_ are in the system, a few early birds have been found above Junction City but in all very tough.
Klamath has half pounders in it from Orleans on down, not many adults being caught yet.

Local biologists have yet to determine what the outcome / prediction for the season...
