The Lower American River is a wonderful place to hone your skills.

Then I would try to get up to the Trinity, Klamath, Rogue, Umpqua, Deschutes or Grand Ronde Rivers in October if you can.

Early and late you can swing flies on or near the surface with a floating line.

After the sun is on the water you can go to a sink-tip.

Call us or email us or come in and we can talk about fall Steelhead.

Get after them before the water gets under 50 degrees.
