This is Steelhead weather in Nor Cal

In the fall we like low light levels for swinging flies for Steelhead.

This is usually early and late in the day with the angle of the sun being low.

Or in the shadows of a deep canyon.

Or overcast weather like today.

Or even smoke from a forest fire.

**Get your fly rod out and head to the nearest valley river anywhere below the first dam.

I would be out all day today but I am working at the shop with Charlie Gonzales.
