with easy access and lots of small fish?
My brother is back from Iraq and coming out to fish. I'm taking him up to drift the L Sac and fish the McCloud but before we head up there I'd like to get a little time on the water with dad too. Folks live up past Auburn. Looking for a day trip to preferable a lake with abundant small fish. Dad isn't too steady on his feet anymore and won't hike very far from the truck. Plus I want to make sure my brother catches a couple fish early in the trip to get his confidence up.
So...anyone think of someplace within an hour or two from Auburn to take them? Would appreciate any help.
