So Fork American

Fished the So Fork tonight, before the Ice House turn off. Very differnet from the last few outings there. Water was very clear, but not alot of activity on the water. Only landed 3, in the past it would be 12+. Tried different fly's, dry and nymph, still not alot happening.
Always nice to get out. Also saw a Farrett and some Mt Quail, cool.

Weasel, good call. No chicks on the Mt Quail. last 2 times I have bumped a covey, differnet locations. About 1/2 mile appart.

Go back up with different equipment. Mtn. Quail season opened on Sat.

Are you going up or have you already gone up? I have a GWP that works well on quail. I plan on giving it a shoot in the near future. The only issue is waders. If the Quail are on the north side we will need waders to get accross. Might be tough running up the cayon with waders.
