Half Pounder clinics

I will be offering three hour(8am-11am) Half Pounder clinics primarily focusing on swinging flies using floating lines, poly leaders, and small sink tips on the American in September for only $75 for a single or $60ea for two or more. We will cover three spots and discuss reading water and fly presentation. Email for dates available.

Sept/Oct/Nov are great months on the Lower American River for the smaller Half-pounder Steelhead.

I will be contacting you. Went out this morning from 6am till 11am on north Watt and South Watt with nothing to show for it. Used 4x leader/tippet, green lantern streamer and Fox's green radical dropper, most of the time. Not even a hit. At least I "think" I presented a good dead drift most of the morning, an improvement for me. I guess even if I'm not catching anything it's still good practice!

Keep at it Kelly. Make each cast with a purpose, know where you're putting your fly, and why. Time on the water will pay off.

Sorry Jed, I hope you got my email and voice mail. Weekends are crazy for me; cooked Friday night, 15 hours on Saturday, and then Kienes on Sunday. But I do have spots open on Thursday and Friday morning(9th,10th).
