Finally got the chance to get away from work and garden stuff to make my first trek to the Silverfork. My brother bailed on me with a bad back so it was just a solo trip with a chance at meeting ScottV one afternoon.
Arrived late on Wednesday and found a perfect camping spot away from the crowds at a spot I called Half Dome of the Silverfork.

Fished a little the first day but mostly watched fish mock me and play with my flies.

Woke the next day and tried my luck a little further upstream. The fish were fast!! I managed a few but most of them were getting away.

Scott arrived in the afternoon and we proceeded to walk upstream as he talked about places to fish and tactics. We got along well with me asking questions and watching the master, but he also lost a few fish as you have to be quick to set the hook or these guys are gone. Here Scott catches on of the rascals.

I started to get the hang of it and while still tough we started to catch more and more. I even caught 4 out of the same hole and missed 12 others. Fish even started to jump out of the water to catch the fly before it landed by the end of the day.
I thanked Scott for the lessons and promised again to fish together as I really need float tube lessons.
The next day for me was much better I caught probably 15 fish and missed only about that many in 3 hours. It is a beautiful spot and I hope to return soon.
Thanks to Scott and to all that offered advice I had a great time.
Here are some more photos of the creek to end on.
