Just lookin to see what the best material would be for my needs. I need something at least 7 inches long. I dont want a lot of flash. Good selection of lifelike baitfish colors. Id prefer something that breathes, not too stiff. Not a lot of krinkle either. Is there a line of materials out there that fits all of this?

Thanks!
J

I have been using wig hair. You can purchase it in different colors, denairs, and textures.
I have some that is completely straight, some with a little crinkle and some that look like a bad hair day. I also use llama hair that comes in linear form

Here's the information you wanted:

Crown Wig
6705 N. Watt Ave
North Highlands, CA.
334-5464

I think the next big intersection would be Elkhorn Blvd.

I might need another trip

you might try to track down some yak. Seems a little stiff when dry, but has nice action once wet. Marketed in 12+" lengths and a mess of colors. Slightly translucent in lighter colors, but when you mix flash into it, it adds a really nice effect...

Yak looks interesting. Having a hard time finding the variety and subtlety in colors that I am looking for. Any other recommendations?

The puglisi(spelling?) fibers are nice as well...but probably more expensive than wig hair.

Thats a cool Schaadt source guys...

I like the color and texture of Yak... it's very translucent. Icelandic Wool on the skin is a good natural fiber.
