Lake Almanor 1st visit

I have an opportunity to fish Lake Almanor this weekend so any advice would be welcome. I'm also considering Baum.

I would fish in and around the Hamilton Branch now.

Bill is totally right. Hamilton Branch, Bailey Springs or Big Springs would be my choice right now. Wiggle Tails, TS Buggers or Seal Buggers on intermediate line would be your best bet.
