My brother went up to Digger Creek Ranch east of Red Bluff, CA (private water) in June and had a good trip. No waders or float tubes needed.

Digger Creek Ranch is a great place to go in the spring and fall but it is particularly nice for a group of 6-8 guys or 3-4 couples.

I agree with Bill. Digger Creek is a great place to fish. The times I have been there Jeff cooked great meals for us for dinner but not sure he is still there these days.
