Kevin was invite by Guy Jeans to go to Kernville in the southern Sierras and put on a Delta presentation for the Southern Sierras Fishers club.

Guy Jeans has two great DVDs on his back country fly fishing guide service. We sell them and rent them at Kiene's....very good.

The Upper and Lower Kern are also some insanely gorgeous waters to fish! The Lower Kern is settled in a deep river gorge/valley and the Upper is surrounded by beautiful towering mountains. If you are near Bakersfield, it is a beautiful place to take a detour.

Do you know if the ban on stocking the river has been lifted yet?

DFG has again been stocking Upper and Lower Kern for several months.

Make sure you stop by Guy's fly fsihing shop in Kernville (only one there). The guys at the shop will gladly help you out with any questions.
