If anyone has time can they try to get out on Lake Natoma on a calm evening from 7pm till as late as possible to see if they are hatching now?

Where's a good (read: safe) place to park and fish from the bank? I don't feel comfortable float tubing at night.
Does this hatch really bring up the fish? Smallies or Trout or both?

About 25 years ago when Chris Pasley worked at the shop we went out after work in the summer evenings for the Hex hatch on Lake Natoma.
I had a new 1986 Suburban and had my 8' TP&L pram inside it with all my gear.
I was single then so I could fish any time I wanted too.
It must have been a good year because every night that was calm we did well on planted Rainbow trout.
Jimmy Potter did catch a very large Carp one evening too.
I am sure that other fish like Smallmouth bass eat them too.
Birds, ducks and bats eat them too.
I think the problem today is how late you can fish on lake Natoma.
