1805 Great Day
1806 The Hatch
1807 BBQ tonight
1808 Hommer gets a crommer
1809 The Fishing was a littel on the slow side this year , we paid our dues and made the most of it !! The bugs were brutal at times , the crabbing was great. The last two hours of the out going tide were prime time (as allways).
4-5 inch green and white clousers , 13 foot , 7 wt spey , a lot of reel , stright 20 lb maxima and you in there , sure hope things get back to normal next year as far as the King run goes Mark

Way cool! Salmon on fly in the salt...that's about as good as it gets. I am a student at Western Washington U in Bellingham and the salmon aren't like this!
Do you rent boats or have a private boat? What about methods for locating and sticking these fish?

Nice going there Nor Cal. Beautiful catch. I'll be doing my saltwater school in S.E. later this month.
Loren you may want to get a copy of my DVD "Saltwater Salmon on the Fly." Maybe Anne Vitale has a copy she can share with you? You could probably find it on ebay for a couple of bucks??????? Here's a link with a description........ http://www.flyfishinsalt.com/hot-off-the-press/saltwater-salmon-on-the-fly-35130.html

Thanks for checking it out !!!
These are termanel fish heading for the hatchery ! (die pack)
Its in Juneau , It doesnt take much as far as a boat , they go in with the tide and come back out with the tide , as far as finding them , just watch whats going on around you , if you need to move , move !!
This trip is not for everyone !! you dont go Alaska to catch a fish or two a day , but I love the challange , I got a good hard core fishing buddy that lives up there .(going on 20 years now) The silvers are why you go to Alaska with a bug rod !!!
