Lance-
I've been having success fishing midges under indicators in 10-11' in the southern end of the lake. Also stillwater nymphs, sheeps creeks, callibaetis nymphs and wiggle tails fished on a clear camo line have been working.Still lots of copepods but some of the fish are clean and most have been fiesty!

Tight lines!

If you are expecting the normal damsel hatch fishing and fish quality you won't find that right now at davis. There have been some damsels but not many. I do think it will get better but when and by how much I am not sure. I have been sight fishing to fish along the shoreline but there have been none of the normal pods of quality size 17"+ fish. And for instance, normally around this time you will see fish rising between first point fugawee and cow. It was DEAD out there yesterday. I was fishing with don for a while and he also reported dismal results to me. I expected a good day hoping the wind would lay down. It came out of the east lightty and kicked up a lot of weeds. I got a few that were decent but no numbers. I got a nice one in 2 feet of water off the bank. I tossed my damsel and I watched him swim over and felt the grab. That was my first fish of the day on the damsel at 2:00. I got another one in the skinny at 2:30. I would wait for a good report before driving any distance. Unless you don't mind burning the gas $$$. If it gets good I will let you know. Read Don Rotsma's report. He has been on the lake and won't steer you wrong.
Good Luck
