Agency/Klamath Lake today

Went with two friends today. An excellent day as we hooked 10 and landed 7 fish from 3.5-11# both fishing chironomids and stripping leeches. The first fish is a 6# that I caught early and the second fish was taken by Jerry. Right at 11#'s

Gordon, love your reports from up north. Have the fish moved into the Pelican bay/ Rocky Point area yet and is the lake lower than normal this year?

Because of the very late spring the main lake has not warmed up enough to drive the bulk of the fish into Pelican Bay and other cold water retreats. There are fish in Pelican Bay but it will be at least two more weeks before the hot weather drives the fish from the main lake. The lake is down about one foot from last year.

Nice fish, except for the copepods. Are they pretty common in that lake?

Copepods are very common in Agency/Klamath Lake and get worse as the temperature rises.
