Instant Summer. A full range of bugs now, from low in the canyon to the lake, and above.
Saw a large emergence of small "hot butt" caddis sz 18-16 over the last 2-3 days.
Larger caddis too.
No grass-hopper mating flights yet but, saw the 3" model yesterday.
Small PMD dries, drowned, work. Very little in the way of rises.
Sparse hatches so far this year of Little golden stones, and green drakes.
Shucks for stones on the rocks, Drakes in spider webs, very few on water yet.
The H2O temps have been staying lower, and the warm weather has raised the flows, new grass on the shore edges is under water.
Flows up, 6-8".
Color is still very good above gray's creek.
Micro mays, caddis emergers, midge/emergers, fished low and slow is producing. Think small.
Very short pickup and drop. Be on the set, just not tooo hard.
Drink lots of water, and wear sun screen, and chase shade.
Wet walk/wade is almost an option.
There is a shift to early and late, rather than midday.

Good info, I'll be up there Saturday. Now I've got an idea of what to start with.
