Went to the lake this morning for my daily carp fix. They are back in the shallows. Some are still in the spawn stage but a lot of mudders, tailers swimming the shallows. Today, I hooked two. One in the tail and one in the "sweet lips". The female sucked the fly off the bottom and I came tight to the fish only to have her swim right into the brush and then the trees. She had me into the backing 25yds or there about. She was around 15lbs to 18lbs. I caught most of it on video with the GoPro using the chest strap.
I will put some footage together and post it later. Don't have time today, trying to prepare a power point presentation for the Mission Peak Fly Casters which is tomorrow night.
Going back to the lake at 6:00pm and fish until dark, later
