My wife just informed me that I'm getting a new camera for Father's Day, the D 10. Looks like a great camera around the water, even underwater too.

With 12 megapixels it ought to take some fine detail and allow for cropping and enlargements.

Have any of you who have this camera made enlargements that have become pixelated? I was wondering if the number of pixtels is the key to good clarity or is it the lens?

Also, being around water a lot, I was wondering if it floats or do I get a bouy for the lanyard? My fat fingers have a hard time holding on to cell phones and small toys like this:)

Tony, always shoot tight, then enlarge, far less pixalation that way. With 12 pix. you are good to go.
I use a large gear retractor on my camera to allow me to get "the shot" keep the net,
and keep the fish happy by doing the photo op quicker.
