Well the time is finally here. My brother ran into KD the other day and he said the switch has turned on get on the water now. He was right. We decided to head out into some uncharted water to mix things up. Made my way to the north Delta for the first time in a while and it paid off. The water up there is a little colder and more clear than I am used to. We had temps around 71-73 degrees and a visibility of about 6 feet maybe more. We fished the begining to middle of the incoming tide.

After burning through 7 flies between my brother and I we finally found a way to get away from the super dinks and get some decent fish. We ended up landing 4 fish and missing a few more in the last 45 minutes of light. The hot flies were the Olive and White Pole Dancer (Man that fly has some good action) And a Black Rainy's popper.

This fish came off the black rainy's popper a hare after 9:00 he battled me hard taking at least 6 jumps and even taking some line from me. I was finally able to get him in and snap a picture.

Now that's a bass! What a great fish. Also had to be pretty satisfying to check out new water and get into 'em like that. Anyway, that's the kind of experience that keeps you coming back, great job! :D
