If our rivers gets down to a nice flow soon like 3,000 cfs then the Shad fishing should go crazy........

8000 was kind of fun. I could run the "Geezer" up the riffles that were too shallow last summer for my pram.

There's a lot of shad in the river, dropping to a more "normal" level should concentrate them back in all the 'usual' spots.

Caught one today that I had to boga, it was 4.5. Biggest one I've seen yet.

It bit a rather gaudy chartreuse,flash, big orange headed thing. I put on a Bloody Maria dropper and all of my hits,misses, and landed shad came on that.

Maybe Jeff could re-post that recipe? It's a real killer.
