Guided Frenchmans on friday. Got on water about 9:30am. Very windy and partly cloudy. Got over 15 fish to boat. 3 stripping- 2 on a punk perch and 1 on a gold bead black birdsnest, also missed a few.
Best action was on blood midges (I use my Pyramid Lake flies) under the indicator. Sizes 10-16. Most on sz 10 red holographic body, gold bead, gold wire, or claret body black bead black wire. Got a couple on sz 16 snowcone midge. Missed plenty of take downs.
I use my Pyramid midges on most of the lakes (Crowley, Bridgeport res, Davis, Eagle, Frenchmans, Prosser for smallies) I fish. I say try them anywhere there are midges.
Came off water around 2:15pm. Wind never stopped blowing, but still a good day:)
