Even though the wind was blowing last night I needed to get out on the water. The water level has risen and the temp was around 75 degrees, it felt like a bath tub. The bite was not hot but good enough for me. I caught my biggest bass from Cameron subsurface on a new fly I tied up the other day. Caught a couple on top, but the real surprise was a fish I have heard was in Cameron but never seen one. I caught my first Cameron Park crappie on the same fly I caught my biggest bass out there on. The little guy put up a good fight, it went crazy in the net but when it was in my hand it sat perfectly still for its picture. All in all another nice day on the water, even got to see a vintage world war 2 fighter take off and fly by. You get to see some cool planes at Cameron, I have seen mustangs and a real zero before.
