We have carried Brodin nets for many years now.

They now have new rubber net bags in them so your flies won't get caught up in them as you are landing fish.

The latest evolution are clear rubber net bags called Ghost net bags.

These have the benefit of not having your flies getting caught up and being clear, rather than black, they are less likely to spook the fish as you are trying to land them.

Chris Brodin told me that they are now selling mostly nets with the Ghost bags now.

These rubber bag nets are fantastic. We've used one in the boat at Crowley for
several years now. If you leave the fish in the water, often-times the fly simply
comes out of the fish without you touching it. The much cheaper rubber-coated nylon
nets are a lot less effective. I believe you can buy rubber replacement bags for
some nylon/cloth mesh bags.

The clear bags are lighter than the similar-looking black rubber bags too.

I think Brodin has changed the pattern and size of the openings in the clear bags. On the earlier ones some of the openings were large enough that trout would snag their gill covers and / or pectoral fins in them.

The newer net design has smaller hex-shaped openings:

If you're going to buy one, try to get the hex-shaped version, I think it's easier on the fish.

Brodin also sells the Ghost bags separately that you can install on your quality frame in four different sizes for a pretty reasonable price ($23-$28 depending on size).

I picked up a Frying Pan/Float Tube ghost net this season, and I love it!
The hoop is 18", total length 29". Just the thing for switch rod users, and as Bill mentioned, not so spooky at the net (first try is best for the fish). It carries nicely on my back with the largest Gearkeeper retractor. Being more narrow, it doesn't hang up on wait a minute bushes!!
I also have a Excalibur model for guiding, perfect for bigger Truckee fish. The bag is big enough to allow them comfort in the water (the playpen), no panic/stress involved.
Plantation grown teak, and Chris and staff are super helpful.
