Good lucky buddy and don't forget, the easiest way to keep a bear away from you is to carry a dead fish around. That way if one chases you down you can throw it at him.:D

a very old man who'd been in country for quite some time gave us this advice:
"if you're confronted by a charging bear start throwing massive amounts of "s_ _ t" at him!"
"and" said one of us rookies, "what if there's no S_ _ T lying around?"
the old man replied, "when you see an alaskan brownie coming at you, there'll be plenty of SH_ T within reach"

If you are going to be near Talkeetna give me a call...I can give you the latest news on the local rivers and creeks. I fish the Deshka every weekend until July 4th for Kings, can take one person with me. Friends have Saturdays booked up with me, but Sundays are still open. Split the launch fee and gas.
