Hit the lake after work today in hopes of some top water action. Water temp was 64, lake level is high, but the weeds are out in force.

But as most of you know that is where the fish live so it may be tough to kick through, there is a reward at the end.

It wasn't big but he had friends that wanted to play as well. Then I look over to the east to see lightning hit the ground, great gotta get off the water. I do not like to be sitting in the water with a couple lightning rods above my head. As I was quickly kicking to get near shore these guys had no fear, I wish I could have stayed longer.

The fishing time was short, but it was better than no fishing time at all. Cameron Park should be on fire come Sunday afternoon.
