Well, it's the end of May and the weather is still like Spring, great! The flows are a perfect 8.5K and the clarity is great as well.
Lots of fish to be tempted on a variety of flies including Caddis, Mayflies and the odd Egg.
The second good news is that the highway 44 bridge has had the pilings removed so now you can do a Upper Drift from Posse Grounds to the Aqua Golf if you wish. It's a short drift for some, but there are plenty of holes with lots of Sac Footballs.
Last, but not least is the news that there is going to be sports salmon season this fall, not that I fish for salmon, but it means that DFG are expecting a better fall salmon run. Great for Glow bugs and Barry Beads.
It's going to get hot soon so get out and enjoy the cooler weather that looks like it's going to last for at least a couple of more weeks.
