Hello fans, readers and community members of Kiene's Fly Shop.
I am proud and excited to announce that we are mere hours (ok, a few days) away from the most unique fly fishing event of its kind. This Saturday, 25 people with Down Syndrome and nearly 80 volunteers from the greater Sacramento area will be gathering to teach the art and science of fly fishing. We know that the benefits of fly fishing are many and diverse and will benefit our students for years to come.
We have volunteers from E.C. Powell, Granite Bay and Gold Country fly fishing clubs, plus dosens of other great fly fishing leaders.

Our venue is the Willow Creek Event Facility in Browns Valley. Mark Brown and his family have done an incredible job making this place an ideal place for any event.

The ponds are teaming with eager trout that have no idea they are about to be tempted with hand-tied flies from our students.

We are proud to have what promises to be an amazing lunch spread for all who attend. Maury Hatch, Vic's Ice Cream and Chef Andy Solari have boasted a spread fit for a king. I will make sure to have plenty of photos of the food.
