I have this rod and it is a sweet stick. It's a little softer than they tout it to be, but still an absolute cannon. I'm still trying to get the right line to match it with, norcal tom would you mind sharing which lines you've tried on it and how they cast for you?

I liked the rio 525 short at 22 feet on the small coastal creeks and when i have more room the airflo 570 both skagit lines both worked out for me. Hooked a nice chrome 8 pound hen this winter on this rod and she was a rocket and a lot of fun:D
