Our coastal communities are part of what makes California beautiful and unique. We are linked to the ocean and all that it gives us. This is why it's baffling that our own state representatives are trying to push through a resolution to promote factory fish farming nationwide.
Factory fish farming poses serious threats to human health, the marine environment, and fishing communities. It is clear that the industry has not lived up to its promises of massive job creation and environmental sustainability. Our state legislators should not speed up the development of such a dirty industry.
