Went to the area below Lost Creek Dam this AM. Caught & released this 23" fish on my trusty bead head nymph.

Then caught & released this 31" fish on a glo bug.

Lots of rain the past week so only the Rogue above Elk Creek is fishable.

Gordon:
Another nice fish. Size of the beadhead?
Thanks,

Way to go Gordon! That beadhead nymph of yours certainly is "trusty" -- I can see why you regularly make it part of its name. :D

Tied up a bunch and used this fly on the Rogue near Shady Cove the last few years and it was very effective (Thanks ! Gordon). Even swung it on a tandem below a # 4 Silver Hilton and it out fished the Hilton.

I can't believe you used a Glo-bug !

I just got back from fishing the upper Rogue. I had to drop my boat off at Willies so a friend and I decided to make a trip out of it. We fished above Shady Cove. My buddy a big day on Friday and I had an epic day on Sat. I hooked 16 fish on Sat. Only landed 5. All were big and beautiful!!!!

I think that the "long rivers" can have some Steelhead in them almost year round.
