I think it's time to get serious with our local fly fishing:


Bass/pan-fish should go wild.

Striper and Shad spread out from below Sacramento upstream to Colusa, CA.

Resident trout and a few smaller Steelhead in most Valley rivers are feeding on bugs.


I think that summer is near.........

I am fishing today after work, then tomorrow going to the mountains to see what is snowed in and what isn't. Then Sunday going to fish what ever I find looks good tomorrow. Plan on starting off at Silverfork to see how far I can get, hopefully the road is ope to Immigrant, then it is off towards Red Lake and beyond.

You might make it to Mormon Immigrant Trail but Immigrant from Silverfork to 88 could have 6-8 ft. snow drifts right now and they don't normally plow it. I've had to wait until mid June some years to use Mormon Immigrant. The only ohter two options to get to Red Lake are 88 or 50 to 89 back to 88.
