Anyone know where to find Mikey Weir's jaw breaker pattern?

Do you mean the fly or the pattern? You should be able to find the fly at any shop that carries Solitude Fly Company products, if this is what you are thinking of: http://www.solitudefly.com/product.aspx?productcode=S067OL. If you can't find them locally, I bet Bill Kiene can order some for you.

If you are thinking of the pattern, looks pretty straightforward. Just a Woolly Bugger with a curly tail, and silicone legs tied on a 90 degree jig hook with a cone head. Pretty simple tie, reminiscent of Whitlock and Barr patterns.

Boy is that an ugly fly! Way too much going on there...

You think those are ugly? Wait until you see my flies for the shad swap if you're in that one. Just the opposite -- too little going on coupled with a bunch of ugly thread. Makes this fly look like an artistic masterpiece.

the pattern I was looking for was tied by Mikey Weir. He uses this pattern with his "Hoppinator" pattern. You can Google that and see what i am talking about. His jawbreaker pattern has 2 tungsten beads, but not any other materials that I can find.

Did you look at idylewylde flies (sp) I think they showcase most of their tiers/patterns.

Thanks, thats the one...The video is great quality. I want to try this setup out east here. I will probably tie a midge pattern jawbreaker style and I like that caddis pattern with the eyes. I'll get bact and let you know it works out. Thanks again, Jake

No problem, glad we could help out. I know I seen it somewhere... and I swear I've seen someone tie something similar up I believe.... just can't remember where.
