We still have some openings on this Steelhead 4 day float and camp trip on the Deschutes River for Steelhead with top guides out of Amy & John Hazel's Deschutes Angler Fly Shop.

This is the one of the best summer steelhead rivers in North America and most all the fishing is done with floating lines using classic methods swinging flies on or near the surface.

Most, but not all fly fishers, are using two-handed fly rods on this river now.

Contact the trip host Bill Carnazzo for any questions.

I fished here last year in September. Twenty five or so fish in three days of fishing was fantastic. You won't be disappointed if you go on this trip and John and Amy do a great job as well.

There is only one spot left on this fantastic "Camp & Float" Steelhead trip.

As you may know last summer had fantastic runs on the Columbia drainage with big numbers on the Deschutes River.

John Hazel told us that the numbers look very good for this year too with lots of the larger B fish coming in too.

Anyone on the fence about this trip should jump on this last spot. Unfortunatly I cant make it this year. My dad and I went on last years trip and had a blast. The Guides , camp hosts and the rest of the Dangler crew are top notch. You will fish your tail off in some of the best water you will ever see. And then eat and eat and eat... good eats. Heres a couple of pics from last years trip. Pops hooked up on a nice one. Seventy years old and still going strong. To everyone going have a great trip. Cant wait to see some reports and pics from this years trip. Kevin

The fishing should be really good this year on all columbia river tribs. The fish counts over bonneville are double what they were last year to date and close to double the 10 year average. Last year was a near record run on the columbia. I know where I will be fishing in october and november this year.
