When I fished tournaments you were required to realease all fish. I can't believe that thing fit in the livewell. What a beauty.

I wonder how many people will be fishing New Melones now.

What a toad!!!! Well I hope to catch a record small mouth this year. I plan on going to Lake Pardee before I leave for Baja. Maybe next week, if the weather warms up.
They rent boats real cheap.... $80.00 per day for the premium boat (center console) and
1/2 price if you're a senior - during the week. Isn't that they only time "seniors" fish and take the weekends off :-)

WOW!!!! What a fish!!!! :eek: Almost as big as the one I saw placing acorns on a downed log in the delta.... :nod: Sure would've been fun to get one like that on a top water bug.... :D

That's why I fish for bass with no less than a 7 wt. :lol:

So I should stop using my 3 weight then? Just kidding, but in ponds I usually use my 5 weight unless I am throwing topwater, then I use my Sage largemouth rod.
