I fished the Feather river this morning above Verona. Brought my friend Andy Solari along for an early morning trip. He has been FFing for about a year and really has "the bug," We stated at first light throwing top-water with no success until the sun came up. Swithed to sub-surface throwing 300 grn. Rio DC striper lines attached to "air heads" and olive/white clousers. We found a few nice Smallies and a few4/5 # hard fighting stripers. Had to deal with a 14 mph north wind. Water looked great. We LDR a few and had a couple other good grabs. Off the water by 11:00 a.m.
